Your purchase at Sleepers is secure. The secure process begins automatically — before you submit any information — when you click the 'checkout' button on the 'cart.asp' page. When you click the 'checkout' button, your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape etc.) looks for a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) digital certificate to confirm that it is communicating with sleeperscanada.com. At this point a message may pop-up requesting your permission to switch to a secure connection. Simply click 'OK' to proceed and receive pages in a secure format. The order process then continues on the secure server.

You may check at any time if you are on a secure server. In secure mode, a 'closed padlock' icon is displayed in the lower right-hand corner of your browser window.

You can also check the security status of the Sleepers site by looking at the address in the address window at the top of your browser. In standard, non-secure mode, the address begins 'http://', but in secure mode it begins 'https://', where 's' stands for secure.

Security continues even after you have submitted your order, as Sleepers processes your order on a secure server. Once your order is complete, you may safely continue to browse the Sleepers web site in standard, non-secure mode. In fact, once you exit the ordering process, your browser will automatically revert to the http server.
